Jessica Alba shows off the return of her fantastic figure

Cash Warren and Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba once again proudly showed off her fantastic figure - just a month after giving birth to her first child.

The star of Sin City and Fantastic Four looked the picture of health as she glowed in the California sunshine during a shopping trip to Beverley Hills with husband Cash Warren.

Alba, 27, who was voted sexiest woman in the world by FHM magazine last year, gave birth to daughter, Honor Marie Warren, at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at the beginning of the month.

And stepping out for an Independence day shopping trip in a summery pink dress, the actress was clearly enjoying being back to her original figure.

Jessica and Cash married three weeks ago after the pair met on the set of Fantastic Four in 2004.

The couple enjoyed a quiet ceremony at the Beverly Hills courthouse on May 19.

After her daughter's arrival, Alba vowed to be a tough mother.

She said: 'I don't want to be my child's best friend; I want to be a mom. But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it's going to be about treading that line.'

Less than a month after giving birth, Jessica Alba has shed all her extra weight.

The Fantastic Four star appeared to have regained her figure as she spent the afternoon shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday.

Dressed casually in tracksuit bottoms and flip-flops, the actress did however seem to be having problems with her back as she stopped for a stretch.

The 27-year-old, who married her long-time boyfriend Cash Warren three weeks ago, delivered her first child, Honor Marie Warren, at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at the beginning of the month.

Alba's father was overheard saying 'she's beautiful', while Warren was seen carrying food into the maternity ward, sources told US Weekly magazine.

Alba has previously vowed to be a tough mother.

Alba met Warren, 29, on the set of Fantastic Four in 2004 where he was a director's assistant. Warren has since moved into producing.

The couple married in a quiet ceremony at the Beverly Hills courthouse on May 19.

Alba was dressed casually in a flowing blue dress and a ponytail, and sources say that aside from courthouse staff, no one else was present at the ceremony.

Jessica Alba black day

Jessica Alba stepped out with her huge baby bump last night in an unflattering, transparent maternity gown.

The Fantastic Four beauty, who celebrated her 27th birthday on Monday, showed off rather too much of her rapidly changing figure as she dined out in LA last night.

Jessica and her director's assistant fiancé Cash Warren, 29, are expecting a baby girl in early June.

Just four weeks ahead of the baby's arrival, the couple dined out at celebrity hangout Mr Chow in Beverly Hills.

Despite spending most of her pregnancy in a variety of flattering outfits, Jessica made a fashion faux pas on Wednesday with her all-black clingy ensemble.

Instead of her usual colourful, stylish outfits, Jessica combined a sheer black dress with a baggy cardigan, black tights and loafers.

The clingy dress struggled to contain Jessica's ample cleavage and the actress' lack of bra support left little to the imagination.

Despite her maternity fashion mistake, Jessica has been voted sexiest woman in the world by the Australian edition of FHM magazine.

After appearing in a trio of recent movies, Jessica is taking time off acting to be a full-time mother.

She has spent the last few weeks decorating the couple's new house in Beverly Hills.

At a book launch last month, Jessica admitted: "I'm just trying to get my house ready before the baby comes.

"It's kind of hectic, it's getting close and the house isn't even ready yet.

"I'm used to having to be somewhere all the time, and it's kind of the first time in my life where I really haven't been working in a while, and now it's just about the baby being healthy, the house being ready, and nesting, it's really different."

Jessica and Cash started dating in autumn 2004 after meeting on the set of the Fantastic Four, where Cash was working as a director's assistant.

The couple were reported to have briefly split last July, but reunited the following month.

They announced Alba's pregnancy and their engagement in December, and purchased their first home together weeks later.

Jessica Alba wigs out

Pregnant actress Jessica Alba is set to make some new enemies in Hollywood after criticising her contemporaries and even her own parents in a scathing new interview.

The Fantastic Four beauty, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Cash Warren, told Elle magazine she has never used her stunning looks to land movie roles, despite her status as a sex symbol.

Alba's controversial comments came as she wigged out during a photo shoot in Los Angeles.

The mum-to-be held her small pregnancy bump in as she posed in a series of outfits and wigs for the shoot as she embarks on a publicity drive for her new movie The Eye.

The 26-year-old shows her disdain for teen Hollywood star Zac Efron and Latina actress Eva Mendes in the interview, and even criticises her Into the Blue co-star Paul Walker.

Despite being only six years older than 20-year-old High School Musical heart-throb Efron, Alba was unimpressed by the tween idol at the Teen Choice Awards last August, where they were named 'Hotties of the Year'.

She said: "He looks like a child with a lot of make-up. I was like, 'My God, you're just a little kid'."

Alba names herself alongside Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez as the only non-white actresses who can open a movie.

When the journalist was quick to add Eva Mendes alongside the group, Alba fired back: "But is Mendes greenlighting movies?"

Referring to her Into The Blue co-star Paul Walker - a diving movie in which Alba spent most of her on-screen time in a bikini - she complained: "Paul was the lead, Paul helped develop it. You wouldn't believe how much that kid got paid! And I don't think he did one ounce of publicity."

Cutting comments: Jessica's revelations appear in the February issue of Elle

Alba admitted she was unhappy with the outcome of her latest movie Good Luck Chuck, which was critically panned upon its release late last year.

She said: "It's porn... It wasn't supposed to be like that."

Despite being cast in a string of sexy roles, including stripper Nancy Callaghan in Sin City, Alba wants to be remembered for her acting and business skills, instead of her body.

She said: "I think there are ambitious girls who will do anything to be famous.

"Contrary to how people may feel, I've never used my sexuality. That's not part of it for me.

"When I'm in a meeting, I want to tell you why I'm an asset, how I'm a commodity, how I can put a**** in the seats, not, 'There's a chance you're going to be able to f*** me'. That's never been my deal."

Alba describes herself as half-Latina, referring to her father Mark's Mexican grandparents.

Despite recent reports Alba was ashamed of her Latin heritage, she insists she's fiercely proud of her roots and wants to learn more about Mexican history.

Blonde bobber: There's barely any sign of a pregnancy bump

She said: "I'm proud of my heritage. That's all I know! I only know a Mexican-American upbringing. Nobody really knows what to do with me.

"I'm half Latin, but I grew up in the States, and I can't get roles playing a Latina because I don't speak Spanish.

"And I don't want to be the best friend, or the promiscuous girl, or the maid, because those stereotypes still exist with Latin roles. I want to be a leading lady."

Referring to a family holiday to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Alba admitted she clashed with her parents over how to spend their time, with her mother and father opting to relax in popular bar chain Senor Frogs.

She said: "When I go to Mexico, I want to go to see the pyramids, to learn about the history... My parents want to go to Senor Frogs every day."

Alba also spoke of her excitement of becoming a mother; "I'm madly in love. I come from a huge family and I'm the oldest of 15 cousins, so I've known I've wanted kids.

"I'm ready to be a mum, and it's a really happy time for us and our families."
